Start with a visit to Karnak temple complex, walk along the avenue of Sphinxes as your tour guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. Karnak temple is the largest religious temple ever built in Egypt. Enjoy walking through the fantastic avenue of sphinxes with Lion’s body and Ram’s head, the Great Pylons, the great hypostyle hall with 134 columns, the obelisks, the sanctuary of Philip II arrhidaeus of Macedon, The Akh Menu of Tuthmosis III (1479–1425 BC) and the sacred lake. Karnak is a massive and simply astounding site, reflecting the combined achievements of many generations of ancient Egyptians. And then enjoy free time to explore at leisure
Continue to visit Luxor temple, which was once joined to the Karnak Temple by a three-kilometer long Avenue of Sphinx. You will enter the temple through the great pylon where two enormous statues of King Ramses II still stand, along with a pink granite obelisk (its mate stands in the Place de la Concorde in Paris, France). The temple was built by king Amenhotep III and Ramses II, and it was constructed over hundreds of years, beginning around 1400 BC. Luxor Temple is at its most stunning at sunset, when it is illuminated with the golden glow of the setting sun. After finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
