Nile Holiday Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel, to enjoy a fantastic guided tour to the planet’s oldest tourist attraction the Giza pyramid of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The pyramids were already more than 2,000 years old when Herodotus the Greek historian visited Egypt (Around 450 B.C). A highly skilled corps of mathematicians, masons, surveyors and stone cutters carried out the job of building the pyramids. 100,000 workers were used to carry out the back-breaking task of moving and laying the stones of the largest pyramid – Cheops. Approximately 2.3 million blocks of stone were cut, transported, and assembled to create the 6-million-ton structure, which is a masterpiece of technical skill and engineering ability. The internal walls as well as those few outer-casing stones that still remain in place show finer joints than any other masonry constructed in ancient Egypt. You have the chance to enter inside one of these legendary structures and marvel at the massive stones used to construct them (Extra ticket on spot), though your guide is not permitted to enter with you.
Move on to enjoy the pyramids panoramic view and the, drive to Proceed to visit the Valley Temple of king Chephren and the great Sphinx of Giza, the legendary statue with a human head and the body of a lion, carved out of a huge piece of limestone. After finished, you will be transferred back to your Hotel
