At the early morning you will be picked up by Nile Holiday representative from your hotel in Luxor, then transfer to Luxor International Airport for flight to Cairo where you will be met and transferred to visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Beholding these legendary structures up close lets you appreciate their stone masonry and awe-inspiring architectural precision. The legendary Pyramids of Giza are the only remnants of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World. Then proceed to visit the Valley Temple of king Chephren and then the great Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a crouching lion and the head of a man, the Sphinx still kneels gracefully as it has for thousands of years, looking toward the east with an enigmatic smile.
Enjoy lunch at local restaurant in Cairo. Move on to visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, home to the most impressive collection of Egyptian antiquities and pharaonic treasures in the world. With over 120,000 artefacts, the museum houses an unbelievable exhibit depicting ancient Egypt’s glorious reign. Mummies, sarcophagi, pottery, jewellery and of course King Tutankhamen’s treasures, it’s all there. The boy-king’s death-mask discovered in its tomb “in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor” is made of solid gold and it has been described as the most beautiful object ever made.
Move on to visit Coptic Cairo to visit the famed Hanging Church, a place of Orthodox worship and one of the oldest churches in Egypt. Next, walk to Abu Serga, known formally as Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. This place has great significance as it is believed to be the spot where the Holy Family spent time during their journey in Egypt. Walk to Ben Ezra synagogue, which is the reputed location of Moses’ discovery as a baby. Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar
Finally you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight back to Luxor then transfer to your hotel.
