After breakfast at your hotel, your Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Enjoy a fantastic introduction to the pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. Whilst here, you will have the opportunity to visit inside one of the pyramids (Extra ticket on spot). Drive to visit the Valley temple of king Chephren and the Sphinx.
Enjoy Lunch at a good quality local restaurant. Then head out to visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and Pharaonic antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display. Amongst which you will explore the collection of Tutankhamun treasures including the solid-gold mask and other treasures include jewelry, ornaments of all kinds and other objects.
Proceed to visit Coptic Cairo, one of the most historic and beautiful spots in the heart of old Cairo. You will visit the famed Hanging Church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt. Next, walk to Abu Serga, known formally as Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. This place has great significance as it is believed to be the spot where the Holy Family spent time during their journey in Egypt. Walk to Ben Ezra synagogue, which is the reputed location of Moses’ discovery as a baby.
Your next stop today will be at the 14th century marketplace of Khan El-Khalili, one of the Arab world’s grandest souks; put your haggling skills to the test and get yourself a bargain souvenir. In the evening transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
