    Welcome to Cairo, Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be warmly greeted and assisted with your transfer to your hotel. At the hotel, our team will ensure a smooth check-in and confirm the pick-up times for your upcoming tours.
    The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and settle in. If you arrive early, you may choose to enhance your first day with an optional evening experience, such as a dinner cruise on the Nile or a spectacular sound and light show at the Pyramids—both available to book locally upon arrival.

    Day 2: Giza Pyramids, The Sphinx & The Grand Egyptian Museum

    Start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Cairo before being picked up by your expert Egyptologist guide for an unforgettable journey to the Giza Plateau. Here, you’ll explore the iconic Three Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the oldest and largest of the Giza pyramids and the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. For those interested, you can even enter one of the pyramids with an additional ticket purchased on site. Capture breathtaking photos of the pyramids from the best vantage points, then continue to visit the Valley Temple and the majestic Great Sphinx, symbols of Egypt’s enduring legacy.
    Next, immerse yourself in history at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest museum dedicated to ancient Egyptian civilization. Conveniently located near the Pyramids of Giza, GEM combines modern architecture with state-of-the-art exhibition spaces, offering a truly unparalleled cultural experience.
    After an enriching day of exploration, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel for some leisure time.

    Day 3: National Museum of Egyptian Civilization & Cairo City Sightseeing

    After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a full-day tour exploring the rich history and vibrant culture of Cairo.
    Your first stop is the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), where an impressive collection of ancient artifacts and royal treasures brings Egypt’s millennia-old civilization to life.
    Next, visit the Citadel of Saladin, built in 1176 on a strategic hill beneath the Muqattam Mountains, making it a formidable fortress. Here, explore the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, an architectural masterpiece featuring a stunning Turkish-style interior illuminated by beautiful lamps and a large chandelier suspended from the intricately decorated ceiling, built between 1830 and 1848. This iconic mosque dominates Cairo’s skyline and offers spectacular views of the city.
    Continue to Coptic Cairo, one of Egypt’s most historic Christian sites. Visit the Hanging Church, built atop Roman gate towers, giving it its unique name. Then explore the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, traditionally believed to be the shelter of the Holy Family during King Herod’s decree. Conclude your Coptic Cairo tour at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, said to be located near the spot where baby Moses was discovered in the reeds.

    Day 4: Optional: Alexandria Day Trip

    Today, enjoy a free day at your hotel in Cairo or join our highly recommended optional excursion to Egypt’s second-largest city, Alexandria.
    Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the largest Roman cemetery in Egypt, featuring a fascinating multi-level labyrinth carved into the rock. Continue to Pompey’s Pillar, a Roman triumphal column erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian between 298–302 AD.
    Next, visit Kom El Deka to see the Roman Amphitheater. While modest in size, this well-preserved site boasts 13 white-marble terraces, making it the only Roman-era amphitheater discovered in Egypt. Then, marvel at the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the historic site of Alexandria’s ancient Lighthouse. You also have the option to visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (entrance ticket payable on site).
    A delicious lunch will be served at a high-quality fish restaurant during the tour. Afterward, return to your hotel in Cairo for an evening at leisure.
