This 5-day Cairo and Abu Simbel tour package, give a taste of Egypt's bustling capital city, home to the iconic Pyramids, and the Sphinx. And the southern city of Aswan to discover the amazing temples built by Ramses II at Abu Simbel as well as Philae temple Island.
The tour begins with a guided sightseeing tour to Egypt's most well-known landmark including the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx where your Egyptologist guide will explain the history and evolution of pyramid building. These include a city tour to the Egyptian Museum, and a walking tour through the old streets of Islamic Cairo and Khan-el-Khalili bazaar.
From Cairo you will fly into the southern border city of Aswan, where you will be picked up and start your drive (almost 3 hours) to visit the amazing Abu Simbel temples, built by Ramses II, which were completely dismantled and moved when Lake Nasser was flooded. Then return to Aswan and next day you with explore Aswan sightseeing tours like; the beautiful island Philae temple, Aswan high Dam and the unfinished obelisk. Your Egypt tour will end in Cairo.

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Upon arrival at Cairo international airport, we will meet, assist you to obtain your visa and luggage, and then transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to settle into your hotel and relax after your journey or If you arrive early you may like to take an evening dinner cruise on the Nile, or enjoy a spectacular sound and light show at the pyramids (both available to book locally on arrival).

After breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you to visit the three greatest pyramids in Egypt, the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. Enjoy fantastic introduction to each of the three Pyramids, and then explore the majestic sight of these enormous structures rising out of the desert that have stood tall for over 4500 years.
Whilst here, you will have the chance to visit inside the great pyramid (extra ticket on spot). Then, you will drive to the pyramids panoramic view area to shoot some great photos or opt for Camel ride (additional charge) and then move on to visit the Valley temple of king Chephren and the great Sphinx.
Head out to visit the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the world’s great collections of antiquities. Wander the treasure-filled halls of the museum as well as the masses of gleaming artefacts recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamun, from jewellery to the famous golden death mask and his gilded sarcophagi, this pharaoh was certainly prepared for the afterlife. You will also have time to visit the royal Mummies hall for a close encounter with some of the country’s most important queens and pharaohs (extra ticket on spot).
Continue to visit Islamic Cairo and marvel at Cairo’s largest market of Khan el Khalili Bazaar. After finished, transfer to your hotel & free time to relax

Early in the morning, you will be picked up and transferred to Cairo airport for your flight from Cairo to Aswan. Where, you will be met, assisted and drive for almost 3 hour to visit the most famous rock-hewn temples of Abu Simbel, were constructed by Ramses II, one of Egypt’s most celebrated Kings (1290–1223 BC). In the 1960s, the entire temple complex was dismantled and rebuilt some 185 meters west and 65 meters above the original site, a feat of engineering rivaling the original construction of the temples. Stand at the base of the colossal statues of Ramses II and puzzle out the hieroglyphs carved on the walls of the inner hall. After finished, return back to Aswan. Enjoy Lunch at good quality local restaurant. And then, transfer to your hotel, check in and free time to relax

After breakfast and check out, start to visit the unfinished obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk offers unusual insights into ancient Egyptian stone working techniques. Proceed to visit the Aswan high Dam, a rock-fill dam built across the Nile in Aswan between 1960 -1970. It creates Lake Nasser, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.
Continue with a motorboat ride to the beautiful Philae Temple complex. The three principal monuments on the island date from Pharaonic, Ptolemaic and Roman periods, the Temple of Isis, the Temple of Hathor, the Kiosk of Trajan and the most ancient was a small temple dedicated to Isis, built in the reign of Nectanebo I during 380-362 BC.
After finished, you will enjoy Lunch at good quality local restaurant and then, you will be transferred to Aswan airport for your flight to Cairo. Where you will be met, assisted and transfer to your hotel in Cairo and free time to relax.
Optional: Nubian Village trip by a motorboat and cruise along the Nile River through the first Cataract to a Nubian Village along the way, admire sweeping views over the river. Upon arrival, visit a traditional Nubian village in Gharb Soheil. Get an insight into the culture, history, and lifestyle of one of Africa’s oldest civilizations. Enjoy a drink at one of the colorful rural houses, nestled amongst the natural scenery. Walk through the local market to get a taste of the unique culture and traditions

After breakfast, there are no activities planned for today and you are able to depart your accommodation at any time – check-out (at 12:00pm). You will be transferred to Cairo international airport for your departure flight.
