Experience 3 day 2 night Luxor and Abu Simbel tour from Hurghada. Explore the top sighseeing that the upper Egypt cities of Luxor and Aswan have to offer. Visit the Valley of the Kings, temple of Queen Hatshepsut, colossi of Memnon and Karnak temple. And then transfer to Aswan, visit Abu Simbel temple, Aswan high dam, Philae temple and lastly, transfer to Hurghada.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada, drive by your air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor (Almost 4 hours). On arrival, start to visit Karnak Temple, walk along the avenue of sphinx to enjoy seeing the largest religious complex ever built in Egypt. Dedicated to the Theban triad of Amon-Re, his consort Mut and their son Khons. Karnak covers more than 2000 years of the Egyptian history, from the Middle kingdom of ancient Egypt to the Roman period (2040 BC- 30 BC).
After lunch at a high quality local restaurant, you will drive to visit the Theban Necropolis. Arrive at the Valley of the Kings, where you will visit 3 tombs of the most famous pharaohs of Egypt’s new kingdom (1550 – 1080 BC). Whist here, you can visit the tombs of Tutankhamon and Ramses VI, an additional cost is payable direct (on spot).
Move on to visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the famous female ruler of Egypt, posed as a male to gain the throne. The temple is one of the most striking monuments in Egypt, built at the bottom of al Qurna mountain cliff at Deir al bahari on Luxor west bank.
Continue for a brief photo stop at the two colossi of Memnon, the giant statues formed the entrance of the ruined funerary temple of Amenhotep III. After finished, you will be transferred to Aswan (4 hours drive), Check in your Hotel & Overnight.
At 04:30 am, (Breakfast Box will be ready at your hotel reception), Drive to visit Abu Simbel temple. The world renowned site where Ramses II (1290-1223 B.C.) ordered two sun temples carved from the Limestone Mountains.
The great temple of Amon Re and Ra-Harakhte where the four famous colossal statues of Ramses II sit majestically over 20 meters high, staring out across the desert. Then, walk to the small temple of Hathor dedicated to the cow-headed goddess of love, happiness, joy and music built in honor of Ramses favorite wife queen Nefertari.
After finished, Transfer back to Aswan for Lunch. Then, start to visit Aswan high dam, a rock fill dam built across the mountain in Aswan, then continue to visit Philae temple Island. The main temple was dedicated to Isis goddess of Magic and Medicine in ancient Egypt. And then, transfer back to your hotel in Aswan & Overnight.
