  • Day 1: Arrive into Cairo, transfer to hotel

    Welcome to Cairo, Egypt! Once you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your representative will meet, assist in customs and transfer to your hotel. Once arrived, check in and the rest of the day is free to settle and relax after your journey or If you arrive early you may like to take an evening sound and light show at the pyramids or enjoy a fantastic dinner cruise on the Nile (both available to book locally on arrival).

    Day 2: The Pyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

    Breakfast at the hotel, today your Egyptologist guide will pick you up to visit the Giza plateau. The site of the three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus were built during the fourth Dynasty of ancient Egypt, lasted from c.2613 to 2494 BC. Get very close to the Great pyramid, the only survival of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You have the chance to enter inside of one of these legendary structures and marvel at the massive stones used to construct them (Extra ticket on spot). Move on to see the Valley temple and view the enigmatic Great Sphinx.

    Head out to visit the exploration of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities (or the Grand Egyptian Museum, upon its opening), home to the largest collection ancient Egyptian artifacts but the most famous is the golden treasures of king Tutankhamun.

    Get to know more with a tour in Cairo to the most amazing Islamic sites. Enjoy a walking tour to El-Moez Street, al Hakim Mosque and Khan el Khalili bazaar. Back to your hotel & overnight

    Optional: Pyramids sound and light show, experience the iconic pyramids and the great Sphinx at night as they are lit with dancing lasers and visuals.

    Day 3: Fly to Luxor, Nile Cruise Tour

    Early morning, pick up and transfer to Cairo airport for your short flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, start to visit the east bank of the Nile. Start at the Temple of Karnak, where generations of pharaohs wished to record their names. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your Egyptologist guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. Explore the Great Hypostyle Hall, strolling among its expertly aligned columns, which soar to 21 metres high. Walk along the main corridor as visitors have done since antiquity and ponder the astonishing feats of engineering it took to create them.

    Continue to the striking Temple of Luxor. View the three large statues of Ramses II along the front of the temple pylons. Explore the Courtyard of Ramses II and walk in the shadows of the Colonnade of Amenhotep III to uncover the sanctuary of Amun-Re the principal god of city of Thebes.

    After finished, transfer to board your Nile cruise ship. Lunch on board and the rest of the day is free to get settled into your Cabin and explore the ship.

    Day 4: Luxor West Bank, Sail to Edfu

    Breakfast on board, today you will explore the west bank of the Nile river and the Necropolis of Thebes. Start with a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

    Head out to the Valley of the Kings, burial ground of the pharaohs for a period of 500 years, beginning in the 16th century BC, where tombs were built along this valley for pharaohs and nobles. You will have the chance to explore three tombs. Whilst here, you can visit the tomb of the boy king Tutankhamun (Extra ticket on spot).

    Continue to the architecturally stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, ancient Egypt’s first female pharaoh and regarded today as one of its most successful.

    Return to the Cruise ship for lunch, and begin sailing towards Edfu today you will enjoy a quiet day sailing Up-stream along the Nile Valley to Aswan. During this pleasant journey, free time on board to dip in the pool, catch up on some reading or simply enjoy the Nile Valley view before arriving late evening in Edfu & Overnight

    Optional: You have the choice to rise very early to see the West Bank from above on an optional hot air balloon ride in Luxor

    Day 5: Edfu Temple & sail to Kom-ombo temple

    Today, after breakfast on board, you will enjoy Horse & Carriage ride (the only mode of transport available) to visit Edfu Temple of Horus, the falcon-headed god of the sky which was built during the Ptolemaic Dynasty between 237BC to 57 BC. This amazingly well-preserved and colorful structure reveals the complete temple construction.

    Back on board and continue sailing upstream, with free time to relax on the sundeck and taking in the surrounding sights – desert hills forming a backdrop to lush riverbanks, fishermen casting their nets and farmers working their land.

    Disembark at Kom Ombo (hill of gold) to visit the double temple dedicated to both Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god). The Greco- Roman temple was constructed between 180BC to 219 AD. See the Nilometer which used to measure the level of the Nile Water, during the annual flood season. View the mummified remains of several crocodiles that once basked along the Nile shore, just as their descendants do today. Return to the ship for overnight, continue sailing to Aswan & overnight

    Day 6: Aswan Tours & Felucca ride

    Breakfast on board, and then disembark to explore the Unfinished Obelisk located in the ancient granite quarry. Discover the skills of Egyptian stonemasons. This monolith is one-third taller than any other ancient Egyptian obelisk. Proceed to the Aswan High Dam, the world’s largest embankment dam built across the Nile between 1960 and 1970. Continue with a motor boat ride to visit the Philae Temple on the island of Agilika. This sacred complex was dedicated to the goddess Isis and reflects a fusion of three great civilizations — Egyptian, Greek and Roman. The temple complex was dismantled and then painstakingly reassembled when the Aswan High Dam was constructed.

    Afternoon, you will enjoy an Egyptian felucca ride on the Nile, pass by the Elephantine Island and visit the Botanical Garden on the Kitchener Island. Lunch & Dinner and overnight aboard the Nile cruise in Aswan.

    Day 7: Aswan, Fly to Cairo

    Today, bid farewell to your Nile Cruise, disembarking after breakfast and transfer to the airport for a flight back to Cairo. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at your leisure. Overnight stay in Cairo

    Day 8: Departure Transfer

    Breakfast at your hotel, your time is free. Then we transfer you to the Cairo international airport for your departure flight.
